Start on the Street

I took this picture at start on the street art festival. I know that Frank doesnt like that the other mans head is cut off, but i like it. I like that the man playing the drums is staring right into the camera, and you can see the money in the guitar case. I like this sort of street scene.

Body Language

I didnt really like many of my photos this week, so i had trouble choosing one to put up. This picture a little washed out looking, but i like the context of it. I love the body language of my friend. I think that you can tell just by her body language that she is a dancer. The way she so naturally positions her legs in such an elegant way, even when she is just relaxing, is very interesting and beautiful to me. I also kind of like that her head is cut off, because it makes you focus on the position of her body.

Family

Last week i went to the baby shower of my new baby cousin. My whole entire extended family was there, including my 99 year old grandmother. I am very close with my grandmother and think that she is a remarkable person. I am always trying to take pictures of her, but she will never let me. So at the shower i finally got a picture of her. i havent totally grasped how to edit my photos on my computer yet, but i just like this picture because it truly captures my grandmother.

Summer 2009

This summer i went to Colombia. I had just gotten my SLR digital camera, and i had never done digital before, so i was really excited to use it. The pictures that i posted are what i think are a good representation of the culture of Colombia, or at least the town that i stayed in. The first photo is of two men talking in the street. The second photo is of a man selling vegetables on the street. The last photo is of jars of candy that are sold in the market. All these photos are very typical Colombian.
